Art

“Simple, unrefined, and awesome, just like our music.”

Growing up, my friends and I would decorate our school backpacks and binders with the names of our favorite bands. A few of us may have even drawn band  logos on the restroom stalls.

We didn’t know it at the time, but this was the beginning of a long career of writing, drawing, and painting on walls.

Years later I still have a love for unrefined  styles of art.

It’s the kind of art that you see on the back alley wall.

It’s the sticker graffiti slapped up on the back of the street sign.

It’s the street style calligraphy you find on the side of the dumpster.

The people behind this art are my people. Their artwork may be simple and unrefined, but it speaks a language that reaches my soul.

And that is what makes this type of art the perfect companion to Heads Adrift music.

More thoughts on Heads Adrift  art…

I’ve always loved bands that give as much thought to their artwork as they do their music. This allows them to communicate with their audience at a deeper level.

I employed this philosophy when I created Heads Adrift. And then I took it one step further.

Heads Adrift is as much an art project as it is a music group. It lives simultaneously in both worlds.

The art and the music are one. Together they deliver a vibe that enlivens the spirit and elevates the head.

Come drift with us.
